Question: Where do I enter the expiration date?

Answer: You do not have to enter it.

This is an additional security which ensures that it is not possible to preform a payment from the data you enter into this service.

You are still able to cancel your credit card, because the expiration date is not necessary if you need to cancel a card.

Question: What about the Card Verification Value (CVV)?

Answer: The Card Verification Value is used for payment on websites only, and should not be entered here.

Without the CVV it will not be possible to anybody but you to preform a payment on the Internet from the data you enter into this service.

This is an additional security to you. You can still cancel your card, if you need to, because the CVV is not necessary for this.

Question: What is the CVV?

Answer: The Card Verification Value (CVV), sometimes called Card Security Code or Card ID (CSC, CVC or CID), is a security feature for credit card transactions.

The code is a three- or four- digit security number that is printed on the back of cards, it typically appears at the end of the signature panel.

For an American Express card, it is the 4 digits on the front above the end of the card number.

You do not have to enter your CVV code to use Holiday-Secure's service.

Your credit card can still be cancelled, if you need to. The CVV code is not necessary for this.

Question: How do I find the emergency phone number?

Answer: The emergency number is a special 24-hour number, you always can call to cancel your card and protect it from abuse, if you suddenly lose the card. This is an extremely important number, because you abrupt may need it at any time of the day, also when the banks have closed.

This is the phone number you should call immediately if you lose your credit card. Notice that the number is not the normal daytime business phone number of your bank or card issuer.

Usually it can be found in the agreement with the card issuer you signed when you acquired the card. For some issuers, but not all, you can find the number on their website.

If you cannot find it there, then call your bank or your card issuer and ask for it. They certainly know that this is a very important number and they should be able to give it to you at once.

When you have entered the number here, it will always be at hand along with all relevant data for this card and accessible to you at any time from all over the world.

In this demo, the number is not saved permanently.

Question: What if I do not want to reveal my card number?

Answer: You do not have to enter the card number.

You can omit the card number completely and use this service to remember the emergency phone number only or you can veil your card number by omitting some digits, enter the card number backwards, replace some of the digits with "X" or "Y", or add your date of birth to the card number.

It is important that you can recognize the card number later. Knowing the card number is necessary to cancel a lost card and even if you choose to save the real number, it cannot be abused, because you do not enter the expiry date and the Card Verification Value (CVV), which are needed for payment.

In this demo, the card number is not saved permanently.
