 What is Holiday-Secure?

Holiday-Secure is a service that allows you to save information on how to cancel your credit cards and block your mobile phones.

 Why would I want to use Holiday-Secure?

Time is of the essence if you lose a credit card or your mobile phone and making the correct actions is difficult if you are far from home. Holiday-Secure is unique because it enables you to instantly cancel a lost credit card or block a lost mobile phone no matter where you are. Even if you are abroad and lose your wallet or bag containing everything you own, you can still in a few minutes protect yourself from identity theft and abuse of the lost item(s). You need only to access an Internet connected computer which almost any hotel, resort, airport, or campsite offers. You can instantly cancel all your credit cards - or single cards or phones if that is what you need.

 Why is Holiday-Secure safe to use?

Using Holiday-Secure is safe because: a) you will never provide any identifiable information about yourself, b) no one but you will ever read your information, c) your information is password protected, encrypted, and stored human illegible, and d) the information you provide is usable solely for one single action, which is to cancel or block a specific credit card or mobile phone in an emergency.

 Which of my cards can I save information on?

You can save information for any type of card regardless of the issuer and whether the card is a credit card or a debit card, e.g. Visa, MasterCard, Diners, or American Express cards. You can also save information on cards issued by banks, fuel cards, or store cards.

 Which phones can I save information on?

You can save information for any type of mobile phone. Holiday-Secure is intended mainly for mobile phones with an IMEI number (International Mobile Equipment Identity) which is any phone that uses either GSM, UMTS, or IDEN network as well as some satellite phones. This applies to almost any common mobile/cell phone around the world. If you are in doubt, your phone manual, your phone store, the phone company, or perhaps some of your friends can easily tell you whether this applies to your phone. We guess it does.

 How do I know which information I need to save?

When you press "Edit" for a card or phone on the Log-in Main Page or the Demo Main Page you will get guidance by using the help boxes on the "Edit card information" or "Edit phone information" pages.

 How do I use Holiday-Secure if I lose a credit card?

If you lose a credit card: 1) Log-in to Holiday-Secure, 2) Find the card number for the card you have lost and, 3) Call the corresponding emergency phone number and ask the person who answers to cancel the card with that card number. See guidance here...

 How do I use Holiday-Secure if I lose a mobile phone?

If you lose a mobile phone: 1) Log-in to Holiday-Secure, 2) Find the phone number and the IMEI number for the phone you have lost and, 3) Call the corresponding emergency phone number and ask the person who answers to a) disable SIM card inside the phone using the phone's calling number and to b) block network access for the phone having that IMEI number.  Can I use Holiday-Secure if I am abroad?

Yes, you can use Holiday-Secure anywhere you can access the Internet. We recommend that you always include the international calling prefixes when you enter the emergency phone numbers for easy use if you are abroad when you need the emergency number.

 Can I use Holiday-Secure for other sorts of information?

Yes, you can use Holiday-Secure to store information on your travel insurance, drivers license, passport, visa documents, PIN codes with 3-10 digits, codes for entrance doors, codes for safe boxes, passwords, and some car immobilisers. Read more here...

 What if I have forgotten my username?

Click "Forgot username or password" on the Log-in page and choose "Username" on the next page.

 What if I have forgotten my password?

Click "Forgot username or password" on the Log-in page and choose "Password" on the next page.

 What if I change credit card?

If you change credit card or your issuer provide you a new one because it has expired, you can change card information instantly by logging in and update your information. You can choose to receive an e-mail reminder no, once, or twice a year on the settings page.

 What if I change mobile phone?

If you change mobile phone, you can change your phone information instantly by logging in and update your information. You can choose to receive an e-mail reminder no, once, or twice a year on the settings page.

 What if I get new credit cards?

If you get a new credit card and you have a free line on the main page, you can immediately add your new card below your existing card(s). If your need space for a new card click "Buy space for more card items" below the card list on the main page.

 What if I get new mobile phones?

If you get a new mobile phone and you have a free line on the main page, you can immediately add your new phone below your existing phone(s). If your need space for a new phone click " Buy space for more phone items" below the phone list on the main page.

 Who reads the information I save on Holiday-Secure?

No one but you yourself will ever read the information you save on Holiday-Secure. Your information is stored encrypted and cannot be read without knowing the correct username and password. If you keep your log-in and password secret and change it immediately if you suspect that anyone but you could know it, you are the only person who will ever read your information.

 What if I do not want to renew my payment?

You buy access to Holiday-Secure for one year at a time. If you do not want to renew your agreement, you can simply omit to pay the next yearly billing. However, we will of course appreciate that you notify us timely if you do not want to prolong your agreement.

 Could my cards or phones be cancelled by mistake?

No, if you need to cancel a credit card or block a phone you will always talk directly to your card issuer or phone service provider and you will approve any action that needs to be taken. Holiday-Secure never cancels or blocks cards or phones, so a mistake cannot happen.

 Can I delete my information on Holiday-Secure?

Yes, you can delete some or all of your information at any time. You can delete single items on the "Edit" pages and if you want to completely erase any information you have stored on Holiday-Secure, you can cancel your agreement instantly on the settings page.

 How do I get space for more cards or phones?

Click "Buy space for more card items" or " Buy space for more phone items" below the card list or phone list on the main page.

 Can I use Holiday-Secure for family members?

Yes, you are not restricted to one person's cards or phones. You are free to use Holiday-Secure for as many cards or phones you like.
