If you have a car with an immobiliser, a remote sender device, and a car key, then your car in all probability has a code which allows you to temporarily deactivate the immobiliser, if the remote device should run out of battery or malfunction.
Most cars have such a "secret" code and this makes it possible for you to start your car with the key only and without use of the remote sender.
This code will save you for an expensive car transportation and wasted time at the service, if your remote run out of battery on a holiday, because you will still be able to start and run your car using only the key and a code.
How to use the code varies for different car models, but a common way is to turn the key to ignition some number of times corresponding to the immobiliser code. Ask you car service or the manufacturer on how to do this. They know it but might hesitate in admitting it.
You get the code from your car dealer or the car manufacturer. Some may refuse to give it to you, but if you own your car, then you should obviously also be allowed to know the code for it's immobiliser.
